OAQIX is a technology services business based in Adelaide, South Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and, for clients in Brazil, the LGPD.
Your information is held on servers we control. Some engineering work is carried out by specialist partners who may be located outside Australia. Where that happens, access is granted to named individuals only, is limited to the work at hand, is logged, and is revoked on completion. Those partners handle your information only on our written instruction and never for their own purposes.
OAQIX remains accountable to you for your information in every case, including where a partner handles it. If you would prefer that your data is handled only within Australia, tell us before we start and we will confirm in writing whether we can meet that.
Through this website we collect only what you choose to send us. That is normally your name, phone number, email address and whatever you tell us about your business.
This site sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. If we add analytics, it will be a cookieless service that counts page views without identifying you or building a profile, and this page will say so.
We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
When we work on your systems we may hold credentials and access to your accounts. That material is:
You own everything we build for you. Every account, file and configuration is yours, and nothing is held back to keep you with us.
We use reputable providers for hosting, backups and email. Some of them store data outside Australia. Where that happens we choose providers that apply protections consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Enquiry details are kept while we are in contact and for a reasonable period after. Records relating to paid work are kept for as long as Australian tax and business law requires.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and notify the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. For clients in Brazil we notify the ANPD as required by the LGPD.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
